Welcome to Yala Adventures, operated by Shehan Safari Jeep Tours (referred to as “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all bookings made through our official site, yalasafari.lk, and participation in our safari tours.


1. Booking & Payment

Booking Confirmation

Your booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a deposit or full payment. Once received, a confirmation email will be sent with your tour details.

Accepted Payment Methods

  • Visa & MasterCard (all card-related fees are borne by the client)
  • Direct Bank Transfer (all transfer charges must be covered by the client)
  • Secure Online Payment via personalized invoice link

For custom safari packages or add-on services, email info@yalaadventures.com for a tailored invoice and secure payment option.


2. Pricing

All prices are quoted in USD (or LKR for local customers), and include:

  • Safari jeep
  • Driver and guide services
  • Relevant service fees

Note: National park entrance fees (e.g., LKR 13,000 per person) are not included, unless specifically mentioned.


3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

By You (Client-Initiated Cancellation)

  • More than 24 hours before tour: Full refund, minus transaction fees
  • Less than 24 hours or no-show: No refund

To cancel, email info@yalaadventures.com with your booking reference. Refunds are processed within 3–5 weeks. International transfers may take longer due to Central Bank regulations.

By Us (Operator-Initiated Cancellation)

If we are forced to cancel your safari due to events such as extreme weather, park closure, or safety concerns:

  • Before the tour: 100% refund
  • During the tour: Pro-rata refund for the unused portion

4. Amendments & No‑Shows

Amendments

Change requests (e.g., tour date, number of guests, pick-up details) must be emailed to info@yalaadventures.com at least 24 hours before departure. Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

No-Show Policy

Failure to arrive at the confirmed pickup location and time without notice will be considered a last-minute cancellation and will not be eligible for a refund.


5. Health, Fitness & Safety

Safaris may involve:

  • Uneven terrain
  • Long durations
  • Early starts

Participants must ensure they are in suitable physical condition. Please disclose any medical conditions or mobility limitations before booking. You participate at your own risk, and are expected to follow guide instructions and park regulations at all times.


6. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory and must cover:

  • Cancellations
  • Medical emergencies
  • Evacuation
  • Personal accidents
  • Lost baggage

Note: Credit card-only insurance coverage is not sufficient.


7. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays, changes, or cancellations due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Strikes or civil unrest
  • Pandemics or epidemics
  • Acts of war or terrorism
  • Government restrictions
  • Severe weather conditions

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for your tour
  • We are not responsible for death, injury, or damage resulting from personal negligence, wildlife encounters, or actions by third parties

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from your booking or tour shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Sri Lankan courts.


10. Photography & Media Consent

By joining our tours, you consent to being photographed or filmed for promotional use.
If you prefer not to appear in any content, please notify us in writing prior to your safari at info@yalaadventures.com.


Agreement

By confirming your booking and making payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
